Mentor for Czech Women´s Lacrosse (role description)

Role Title: Mentor for Czech Women´s Lacrosse

Location: Worldwide 

Responsible to: CZ Appointed Performance Lead Appointment 

Status: Until World Cup 2021- reasonable expenses considered


Role Summary 

▪ Delivering a high-quality advice and colaboration with the CZ national team staff and team

▪ Close cooperation with all coaching team

▪ To create a performance environment for athletes and instil performance behaviours. 

▪ To ensure the principles of performance 


Key Tasks and Responsibilities 

▪ Support head coach in planning, high-quality coaching and performance programme. 

▪ Ensure the selection and evaluation criteria used is thorough and follows established policies. 

▪ Collaboration with the team 

▪ To participate fully in the review of the programme. 

▪ Implement coaches personal development plan.

Person Specification Qualifications: 

▪ Hold a current Level 3 Coach, Talent Coach or above 


Experience and Knowledge: 

▪ Minimum of 4 year relevant coaching/ mentor experience of which at least 3 year must be with regional/high performance athletes and experience of leading a programme, including athlete development within a performance environment. 

▪ Experience of working with performance athletes 

▪ Experience in the development of individuals including; auditing of strengths and weaknesses, producing personal development plans, monitoring performance, producing feedback and reports. 

▪ Experience of a range of adapted lacrosse playing formats. 

▪ Proven experience in the planning of a programme. 

▪ Proven experience of co-leading, managing and collaborating with a team. 


Skills and Abilities: 

▪ Demonstrate good communication skills, written and verbal 

▪ Be able to inspire athletes and work as part of a team to develop high performance standards 

▪ Demonstrate the ability to take part in an area of work within the overall programme, ensuring that set targets are achieved 

▪ Demonstrate good inter-personal skills
